Lets start with the exciting news: The tuber sale date email goes out next week!!

You might be wondering, "Why do email subscribers get this perk?" Well, if you've shopped for dahlia tubers before, you know how quickly things can sell out. While we’re expecting a smooth sale this year, offering early access helps manage traffic and ensures a more relaxed shopping experience for everyone.
But it’s not just about logistics—it’s a way for me to say thank you to those who choose to support us and follow along with our farm journey. Every time I see a new subscriber, it truly makes my day. I appreciate each and every one of you! That’s why we’ll always give our email community first access to sales and special announcements.

Alright, let’s go over a few quick things! If you haven’t already, you’ll want to check out our Dahlia Shipping & ReturnPolicy. Trust me, taking a peek at this now will save you time later—it’s one less thing to worry about on sale day! That way, you can focus on shopping, not reading through policies. Plus, you’ll have all the info you need when you're ready to hit purchase!
Also, our website lets you create an account and log in before the sale. There aren’t any special perks for having an account, but it does let you save your payment and shipping info, which means a quicker and easier checkout. I’m not expecting any crazy rush during the sale, but tubers are limited, so to make sure you can snag your favorites, I’d definitely recommend setting up an account ahead of time. And don’t worry—your information is completely safe! I won’t see anything except a little notification that you’ve become a member of the site.
Okay, I know that last bit wasn’t the most exciting, but here’s where the fun begins! When you purchase a variety, you’re buying one individual dahlia tuber, not a clump. Each tuber is carefully selected and guaranteed to have at least one healthy, viable eye. And to make sure you’re feeling confident in your purchase, we’ve made it super easy for you to spot that eye—it’ll be clearly circled on the tuber so you know exactly what to look for when your dahlia arrives. We want you to feel excited, not confused, when you start planting, so we’ve made sure you’re all set to go!

We’ll also have some amazing dahlia seeds available, and I’m so excited about this! Growing dahlias from seed is one of my absolute favorites because each flower that blooms is totally unique—it's a one-of-a-kind creation! Unlike tuber-grown dahlias, where you know exactly what flower you’ll get (because it will be identical to the mother plant), seedlings are a whole new adventure. Each seedling is a mix of traits from both parent flowers, resulting in a brand-new variety that’s never been seen before. The best part? These seedlings will eventually produce tubers of their own, and who knows—maybe one day you’ll have a variety you can name and share with the rest of us, growing in gardens and farms everywhere!

The seeds I collected this past season came from some gorgeous anemone-type dahlias (like Sandia Brocade) and collerette-type dahlias (including Apple Blossom and a few mystery varieties). While the chances of getting a fully double dahlia from these seeds are pretty low, you’re in for a treat! The varieties you get will likely be fantastic for pollinators, so you can look forward to lots of buzzing bees, fluttering butterflies, and even hummingbirds and hummingbird moths visiting your patch. Trust me, watching all the activity in our seedling patch was one of the highlights of the season.
These seed packs will contain 25 seeds for just $5, making them an easy and affordable way to add more color to your flower garden. There’s something so exciting about watching a seed transform into a blooming flower, not knowing exactly what shape, color, or petal count it will have. Each time a new flower opens, it’s like unwrapping a little surprise—will it be a bright, bold hue or a soft pastel? Will the petals be perfectly round or have that beautiful, whimsical, spiky look? The possibilities are endless, and the thrill of discovering something entirely new each season is truly unmatched. Growing from seed lets you be a part of the process from start to finish, and every bloom you see is a testament to your patience and care
Here are some of my favorite little seedlings from last season!
Alright, now for the final piece of the sale puzzle—the freebies! As we talked about earlier in the blog, we’ve got a fun raffle happening for our email subscribers, but there’s more! I’m all about packaging—and I don’t just mean the cute boxes or branded tissue paper (though, yes, I do love that too!). What I’m really passionate about is creating an experience and making you feel appreciated as a customer. So, with that in mind, I’ve put together a little something extra for every purchase.
Each order will come with a Dahlia Tips Card to help you get started on your dahlia-growing journey. It’ll include some handy advice, and of course, my email address so you can reach out if you need any help along the way. Along with that, you’ll get a sticker featuring my absolute favorite dahlia that I grew last season—KA Cinder Rose. Trust me, this one’s a beauty, and I’m excited to share it with you!
But that’s not all! I’m also including a packet of zinnia seeds, collected from our field last season. These seeds are an open-pollinated mix of Benary's, Floret, and Lime zinnia varieties, so you’ll get a lovely mix of colors and shapes in your garden. You’ll get 10 seeds as a little thank-you from our farm to you—just our way of saying how much we appreciate you supporting us. Seeds and stickers will go out while supplies last at a first come first serve basis so get your orders in asap once the tuber shop opens!

So there you have it—the full rundown, the 411, all the details you need for our upcoming sale! I am so excited to get these beautiful tubers and seeds into your hands and help you grow something amazing this season. Thank you for being a part of our community, and I can’t wait to see what blooms in your gardens and on your farms!
One last thing! My absolute favorite part about flower farming is connecting with all of you—fellow flower farmers, flower lovers, and enthusiasts. (And I’ll give myself a little pat on the back here because, fun fact, I’m actually a big time introvert at heart!) But seriously, I want to chat with you! Drop a comment below and tell me—have you ever grown dahlias from seed? Did you love it? Or is it something you’re excited to try? Let’s talk about all things dahlia! 🌸
